Weirs Beach faces Lake Winnipesaukee and holds the cruise pier, boardwalk, public beach, and rally crowds. Downtown is several miles south, near Lake Opechee, the river, and the Belknap Mill. A car makes it much easier to move between them and reach Gilford or the wider Lakes Region.
